KCTCS Peer Team Initiatives

The KCTCS Distance Learning Peer Team is looking at a number of initiatives to improve online instruction.  Ben sent out an email from Sandy Cook on November 22 which provides additional information about these initiatives.  What are your thoughts?  Please, let me hear your comments.

• Student Orientation.  This initiative would create an online student orientation..
• Blackboard Profs.  This initiative trains Blackboard experts across the college.
• Online Quality Assurance Rubric.  This rubric would be used to give feedback to instructors who offer their courses across all KCTCS via Learn by Term (formally known as WWW classes).
  
• Quality Assurance for Learn by Term Courses .  Learn by Term classes would come with these buttons "preinstalled" in Blackboard.  The idea here is to provide standard terms and locations for commonly used content.  See also my prior post about this.
