Please inform your faculty about the event to be held at Owensboro CTC on January 25 between 9:00 AM and noon in the Advance Technology Center, Room 107.

We will be hosting representatives from BVT Publishing and Flat World Knowledge Publishing as they discuss their efforts to provide free and inexpensive educational materials for faculty to use in their classes.
In the first hour or so of the event, each representative will talk about their company and their efforts to bring down the cost of a college education by producing quality, inexpensive educational resources using new business models. During the remainder of the session, the representatives will display and discuss their products and talk with faculty about their needs. Come for any part of the event.
These companies produce textbooks and other customizable educational materials for most disciplines. We plan to stream the presentation part of the event for those unable to attend in person. I view this as a Western Kentucky version of the event Sandy conducted in Versailles in November with the representatives having an opportunity to actually display their products and discuss them in depth with faculty.
